tweetmytwatter asked: Hi! Do you have any tips on how to make a cushion headboard?
Yes I do. You want to measure the width of your bed. Once you have your measurement you need to decide how high you want the headboard. I believe mine was 32 inches high. I went to Home Depot and bought plywood. I had them cut the size I needed. Then I went to Jo-Ann’s and bought two inch thick foam. (Make sure you have a 50% off coupon and have them cut it in one piece. If you have an electric knife you can cut it to the size needed to fit the board) the other item you need to purchase from Jo-Ann’s is batting. Once you put the foam on the plywood put the batting over that then staple the batting to the back of the plywood. That will hold the foam in place. The last step is to put your fabric on. I bought two feet of fabric, as well as two feet of foam. You will iron and wrap your fabric around the piece and staple it on the back. You can cut away the excess fabric. I bought some hooks and screwed them into the back side of the plywood. (I will try to remember the name of the hooks.) then I put oook picture hooks (can be purchased at Michael’s. Get the ones that can hold 100 pounds) on the wall and hung the headboard.
If you go to my blog there is a post about it. www.hersandhers.wordpress.com
